It provides a physical switch that disconnects the DC power connection in a compatible vehicle-to-home or backup energy system.
Any vehicle with V2L (vehicle to load) can be used to power a home, and that includes both EVs and plug-in hybrids, because V2L lets the vehicle act as a power source for your appliances or circuits. This switch is the dedicated point that safely isolates that connection during servicing or an emergency. Fuller systems that feed the home automatically (V2H) or export to the grid (V2G) also need a vehicle, charger and electrical design that support them.
No. It should be installed and commissioned by a licensed electrician using the approved wiring diagram and confirmed product ratings.
